now we're home

We made it back to Utah yesterday, although as I type this it is currently snowing and the forecast for Colorado was supposed to be record setting heat... hm, should have stayed an extra day. I'm glad we came home, though.. I was running out of clean clothes. We had lots of fun, visiting the Colorado Springs zoo, driving to Denver, and just relaxing. I'm glad to be back in my own bed, though.. hotel rooms are just not that great. Here are a few pictures from the highlights..

Here is Noah playing with the pretend bears out front of the giant REI store in Denver.. he liked them because there was a mamma bear, a Noah bear and a baby bear.. except the way he says bear makes him sound like he's from Boston.

Here is Noah out front of the zoo.. he was stoked to see the animals, although terrified of the peacocks...

Here is Noah and Ben petting and feeding the giraffes.. I've never been to such a zoo with a giant giraffe herd right out of the patio.. they are friendly, with really long fishlike black tongues.. fun zoo.

Noah and I out front of the US Olympic training center in Colorado Springs.. this simple tour was a highlight of our week. We even met an olympian, Eli Bremer.. he's competing in the pentathalon this summer in Beijing. It was really neato.

Ben and Noah bowling.. for the rest of the week we hear, "that playground is yellow like the sunshine and like my bowling ball".. followed by, "what color was your bowling ball, mamma?? green like a frog".

Ben and Noah in front of the Denver Temple.. Noah likes to sing any song in the style of a witch.. low raspy cackily voice, he tried to do I love to see the Temple, but I told him he had to sing it reverently, so he sang it in a whisper.. good job nursery, they are teaching him great things.

The lookout of Colorado Springs, it's a beautiful place.

P.S. Noah is so cute, and I love all the funny things that he says. I like your story of the GPS when he couldn't figure out where the voice was coming from.
