He is beautiful and perfect in every way and we all adore him. Things are going well with the adjustment home. Leah has now accepted the fact that he is her brother (rather than sister), and started calling him by name and not Rachel (which is a lovely name, but wasn't the one the baby would have had if it were a girl.. she came up with it herself).
We came home from the hospital Sunday afternoon and are enjoying relaxing and holding the new bundle of joy. Don't mind my day three of being in the hospital.. people that look good in their hospital pictures make me sick... I was just ready to get home and finally take a shower.
The kids like to come and talk to baby Soren, but neither of them have had any interest at all in holding him.. we have barely gotten a kiss from Leah on Soren's cheek. She's so silly, when you ask her if she wants to hold him she says, "I can't, I'm not strong enough". Not sure where she got that one either.
Here we are in the recovery room enjoying Soren for the first time. The C-section went smoothly and Ben enjoyed every minute of it.. (maybe he should have been a doctor). It was very exciting to hear for the first time, it's a BOY! The doctors and nurses at the hospital were fabulous and took really great care of us.
This last picture doesn't show my nerves.. this was just arriving at the hospital that morning at 5:30 am.. I was nervous and really anxious.. hardly any sleep the night before and I had been fasting for awhile now. Even though I have a horrible scar and incredibly sore abdoman, I'm so happy that the baby is in my arms rather than me luggin' him around in that ginormous belly.

Glad he is here! Hope the kids warm up to him, but not too much. Sometimes I wish my Camille would leave Spencer alone a bit more. Good luck and let me know if you need some babysitting help.

WOW - Congratulations! I was so excited to hear all about little baby Soren's arrival. Glad it went well and you all are happy and healthy (even if a little tired!).

Congrats! We are so happy for you. What a cute little boy. And I totally agree about the moms who look fabulous on day 3 in the hospital. You looked 100 times better than I did! :)
