a little of everything

isn't he the most handsome little guy. This was his very first piano recital, and I couldn't wipe the smile off his face. He LOVED it, was so excited for it and I know he was proud of himself for playing. I really love this picture, no goofy face, just a sweet smile to remember such a sweet occasion for him and I both.:) Leah sporting the birthday crown. She on the other hand rarely has a sweet smile. Our dinosaur slow camera can never capture the sweet faces she has.. she is mostly just crazy, but talking so much. I can usually carry on paragraph conversations with her and there isn't a word that she doesn't try to say. I have caught her singing songs that I didn't even know she had learned. probably from nursery or someting, but she is one smart cookie.

a little bit of treat eating

birthday cake making... and wait, the best part is when you cut into the cake
celebrating Leah's 2nd birthday

enjoying the presents she got.. the bubble gun has been a favorite, she played for several hours outside by herself just shooting out the bubbles.

t sorry for the lack of organization to the posting.. i lack the patience to fix it, and it doesn't bothor me.:)

okay, so obviously keeping up on the blogging isn't for me. It's funny because I usually wake up before the kids each morning and enjoy my OJ while checking e-mail and browsing my daily blog roll, yet I rarely take the few moments it takes to write a quick post. Oh well, I have been blessed with a good memory, and hopefully that will serve me well when I look back on these years. We have been up to lots of fun things around here... here are a few pictures to prove it.

waiting for dad to get home on the front porch.. enjoying the beautiful sunshine.

enjoying a little TV watching in pajamas.. of course this is one of the peaceful moments in our house, the big tease Noah is to blame.. but they are getting better, playing and laughing together.

took the kids to the dentist where it was Hawaiian day, so we dressed up. Love to get out all our stuff that reminds me of such a special place. They both got clean clean teeth and the best news, no cavities for either of them.. hooray!

made a few trips to the Tracy Aviary in SLC.. we loved this place and loved the playground afterwards. We had a membership to the aviary and really used it and it's benefits to other zoo's/parks quite a bit. This year we're on to bigger thing.. season pass to Lagoon. So far we've gone three times, each time with no lines and beautiful weather. I walked onto Wicked and Spider.. that'll probably never happen this summer. Noah even tried the Bat, although he said he was fun but that he probably doesn't want to go on it again. Puff was more his style.

and lots and lots of working on the house.. we are currently in the middle of remodeling the kitchen/master bath/front door/back door/main bathtub/and outside. It really is an neverending list of projects, but we really do love it. Our backyard is really one of our favorite things about the house. We have planted a garden and just barely caught the pesky bunny rabbit which was likely to cause it to fail. So excited for the crop this season:)

how fun! I've been thinking of getting season pass to Lagoon this year but I didn't know who else would have one... now I know!
The recital picture is adorable, I can't believe how big both of your kids are!

K now I want to get a Lagoon pass!! My friend's been trying to talk me in to it but I couldn't justify it and Carter still naps so well I didn't want that to interfere, and then with teaching piano in the morning...
Anyway, you'll have to stop by for lunch when you're down!
We ended up getting a membership to discovery gateway, which is also fun.
How cute, Noah's first piano recital!! How's he taking to the piano? What books do you teach him out of?
