what a fabulous week we've had.. fourth of july barbeques, fireworks, the annual Hyrum parade, homemade salsa.. lots of fun! this week will be even better as we get ready for my family reunion at bear lake, our 6th year anniversary on the 12th, ben's family party on the 12th, and leah's blessing on the 13th. it'll be a busy week, but that's what summer is about, being with family. here's a few things on my mind:
-our car issues.. so our toyota matrix has not been holding air in the back tire, so i took it in to check it out, turns out there was a nail in the tire.. got that fixed but at the same time the mechanic told me that all four of my struts were bad.. sheesh, one nail and i find out that we have a $900 car bill coming.. so i had ben go in to another mechanic who said.. uh, no you're struts aren't bad, but your wheel bearing is bad.. AUGH, we replaced the wheel bearing twice last year. ...but at least it's not four replaced struts. so, now i don't know what to do.. did the mechanic just tell me that because i am a girl?? what to do...??
- i've been looking at sit & stand strollers for our family... noah's the type that likes to walk, but gets tired often, so i'm thinking that a sit and stand stroller might be the best.. any other moms out there have one, do you like it?? any recommendations.
-tomorrow is park group.. i was a flake last week, actually i was at the tire store having my car looked at.. but still no excuses, still a flake. so tomorrow let's meet at merlin olsen park, at 11:30 .. i'm bringing lunch for noah and me.. i hope it's not too hot. invite your friends, should be fun to just let the kids play and chit chat.
-i've started to knit. i've been thinking lately how i need a new hobby. my mom keeps telling me that i have two kids and they are my hobby, but i'm going to throw in knitting with that. the blog world has really got me looking at my lack of creativity, there are so many creative people out there.. so we'll see what i can make. so far i've knitted a washcloth.. but my next project is a hat for leah.
anyway.. here's a few pictures: my little leah, i think she's just the cutest little bug and i love everything about her. and my noah, he's the best. life is good!

Your kids are beautiful as ever! I am sorry about the car situation, I always get jipped with cars I feel like. Sounds like you have a busy week coming, but lots of fun!
p.s. If you guys ever do the park on another day let me know. Mon. are the only full day I work:(
Wow, sounds like this month is really busy for you. Happy Anniversary coming up! About the stroller issue, when I had my 2nd, I got a double stroller and it's been such a waste. Myra likes to walk most of the time and ride a little, so I wish that I had gotten one of the sit and stand strollers. I would definitely recommend doing that! I won't be at the park tomorrow, my in-laws will be here. Let me know what you want to do next week.
Hi Camille, I'm not really sure if I've commented on your blog before or not, but I found it from Claire's blog. I have a tiny stroller fetish and I couldn't help but comment on your stroller issue. I did buy a double stroller, but only a jogging one by BOB and I really do love it for going on walks, hikes or running but never in stores. My kids are almost 3 years apart so I went with a Peg Perego that has a foot board they can stand on. There's no place to sit, but I love it. I just don't like big bulky strollers so the Peg was a good option for me (it folds like and umbrella). Sorry for the lengthy comment. Good luck with your busy week and car issues.
Camille,
It was good to see you and the family a the parade. Maybe we'll see you hanging around Bear Lake this week. Have fun at the reunion. Maybe some time I'll have to come to town and meet at the park and bring Emerson.
I'm so glad you found me. I love San Diego and the funny thing is we have almost that exact same picture (except without the kids). I saw Sarah working out the other day and she said she was trying to talk you into moving by us! Hope you do, keep in touch!
I love the photos of the kids especially that 4th of July outfit Leah is in. Congrats on choosing knitting as your hobby. I wish I had the patience and talent to do anything handy like that. I need a hobby I can do while I'm waiting for Kaleb at his activities. Scrapbooking just isn't an on the go sort of a hobby, but I do love it. When you figure it out, you'll have to teach me, hey maybe I'll have you teach at Enrichment...I'm always looking for ideas:) Happy Summer!!!
I thought I would leave a little comment on the stroller idea. I think the sit and stand is a wonderful invention! I think it would be a great stroller for your little ones, but as my kids get older now, they want to sit by each other, and it helps me to have them sit by each other. I am actually looking into buying an "umbrella" type stroller that sits 2 side by side, I am going to go with the umbrella type, so it won't be too bulky! But I think for little ones, the sit and stand would be great, good luck with choosing a good one!
I would totally have gotten a sit and stand stroller had I known they existed earlier. Sounds like you are keeping busy with things. Sorry about the car - don't you hate it when you take it in for one little thing and come out with a bill for hundreds of dollars?
I love to knit!! But all I can knit are scarves. I made a really crazy one a couple of years ago. I think it might be a little too loud because people look at me funny when I wear it. If I lived in Cache Valley I would come and knit with you.
