the week was better than expected

so a quick post.. i just barely got noah to bed and it was going on 10:15.. after three versions, "Child of God".. and other primary favorites. It is cute to hear him request it, but I was tired of laying on his uncomfortable bedroom floor and listening to the missed calls beep on my cell phone. I need a better routine with him.. sometimes we're 5 minutes, other times it's nearly an hour.. please tell me that other moms out there struggle with this and i'm not the only pushover. i was anxious to return my phone calls, but knew if he wasn't asleep then i wouldn't get anytime on the phone anyway, so better just get him to sleep then return calls.

so i guess the reason for the title" better than expected".. i made it through the week. noah being sick, ben being gone and a full schedule of piano lessons and young womens. . and phew, we're through it. noah was really quite well behaved during my piano students and i did have a little help on wednesday from my grandma.. . but now we're home free. ben has a trip scheduled for the weekend, so i won't see him until sunday, but then he'll be home for a few days. life will get less crazy once april rolls around.. ben has now been assigned to fly out of salt lake city, so less commuting time.. yeah!! oh, and i went to the dentist on monday... better than expected there as well, no cavities.. i hadn't been to the dentist in two years, so who knew what to expect.. but i got a clean bill of tooth health. the time is going by so quickly, and not as quickly as my belly is growing.. i hesitate to post a picture because i know those who see it will just say, "yup, her belly is really big". so i'll post a picture of noah instead. he loves to play the piano.. my little pianist.. he loves to greet my piano students, and loves to pretend to read piano music. here he is playing on our new clavinova (which he did for nearly 30 minutes, quite nicely, only touching the buttons i showed him he could)... he wanted to try on a new shirt he got from his cousin that day, that's why he is looking quite overdressed. if you can believe it, i let him sit with me on the organ bench this past sunday while I played for church... he was pretty good, only touched one note.. i was sweating bullets hoping he woulnd't fall off.. it could have turned out disasterous.









when ben gets home, i'll post some pictures of him in florida. he's been there this past week watching the space shuttle launch and enjoying the sunshine.. wish i was there.:)
