a quick overnight..

one of the best parts of being a pilots wife... traveling. I love to follow along with Ben on the plane he's actually flying. It's fun to hear him over the speaker and it's fun to peak in the cockpit and see him up there. A few days ago I joined him on an overnight to Eureka California. It was in the city of Arcata. It was a cold and cloudy city, but I love exploring new places. Especially places you may not go on vacation. Here's a few pictures to show the weather we were in... we left 100 degree Utah weather. The hotel had bikes to use, ... they should rent out gloves and hats too, it was that cold. But a nice soak in the hot tub and then relaxing in front of the TV for an hour or so... perfect. I'm not a crazy TV bum, but for some reason when I join Ben on his flights, I look forward to just watching whatever show I want, with no kid distractions, on a nice cozy bed with full control of the AC/heater temperature. just plain relaxing!! hopefully our babysitters won't get sick of the arrangement, because my goal is to try to get out at least every other month, if not monthly:) don't mind my wind blown hair.. it was really humid, too. and look at these amazing buildings, so fun to ride around on cruiser bikes and leisurely look at the architecture.
